Among 'good' people, shame runs rampant.
You try to obey, try to keep your promises, try to obey the rules... and... well... of course, you want to. At least a part of you does. But sometimes you just have to sneak around and do what 'you' want.
It's just that, afterwards... you cannot look people straight in the eye anymore. You know the feeling. It is shame.
Then the inner battle begins: "I am bad. But I really want to. I am wrong. But it tastes so delicious. Why shouldn't I? It feels so good. But then I am not okay. It does no harm. But I have sinned. I will be punished..."
The mixed emotion of Shame uses up so much internal energy...
Is there any way out of this swamp besides suicide?

Shame On You!
Overall, in modern culture, there is confusion about Shame.
Various contexts view Shame in a different light. Whereas a religion might view Shame, and its related sensation 'guilt', as a way to control or subdue their congregation and force them into a particular penance, psychology might use Shame as a reason to prescribe brain drugs, yet still another context may view the experience of 'Shame' as a 'fifth feeling' in addition to anger, sadness, fear, and joy. In Japanese Bushido, if you 'lose face' and acquire enough Shame, it was expected that you should commit suicide through Harakiri, or Seppuku, so that the Shame ends with you and does not reflect on your 'superiors'.
Possibility Management's empirical research since 1975 relates to Shame as a 'Mixed Emotion', the sensations that arise when you blend together certain proportions of the Emotion of anger plust the Emotion of sadness plus the Emotion of fear.
There are several possibly unfamiliar Distinctions contained in the previous sentence.
As explained in the upgraded thoughtmap of Feelings used in Possibility Management, there is a radical difference between a 'Feeling' and an 'Emotion'.
A Feeling is not a thought.
Thoughts mostly occur in your mind, your 'intellectual body', which - in the Possibility Management world - is one of your 5 Bodies: physical, intellectual, emotional, energetic, and archetypal.
Feelings and Emotions occur in your Emotional Body, centered around your physical heart.
Possibility Management distinguishes four Feelings (Conscious Anger, Conscious Sadness, Conscious Fear, and Conscious Joy).
Possibility Management distinguishes many Emotions (Emotional Anger, Emotional Sadness, Emotional Fear, and Emotional Joy, plus all the varieties of Mixed Emotions, where two, three, or all four of the Emotions are mixed together in various proportions to create an entire palette of Mixed Emotional sensations).
The Feeling of anger, for example, feels the same as the Emotion of anger, at the beginning. How can you tell the difference if the anger (or any other feeling) is a Feeling or an Emotion?
It is very simple to detect the difference between Feelings and Emotions:
Neither Feelings nor Emotions are good nor bad, right nor wrong, positive nor negative. Feelings and Emotions each server their own Purpose.
THE WAY TO MAKE USE OF A FEELING is as follows: As soon as you Notice the sensations of a Feeling arising, even at the 3% intensity level, or the 5% intense level, you put your attention there and say, "Welcome anger (or sadness, or fear, or joy)... What do you have for me?" Then you write down what your Feeling tells you to handle in your Beep! Book. Then you say, "Thank you! Anything else?" And you write down anything else your Feeling has for you. Repeat until you have received all the value from your Feeling. After that, the Feeling will be completely gone from your physical sensations. Then you get to decide what you will do the the energy and information you received from your Feeling. The Feeling does not decide what you do. You decide. You are 100% responsible for your Decisions.
THE WAY TO MAKE USE OF AN EMOTION is to grab your Beep! Book, flip to the back of it where you title a page EMOTIONAL HEALING PROCESSES, or EHPs, and write down exactly what you are feeling and what triggered that Emotion in you. Do not try to figure it out or make it go away. Instead, go to your Possibility Team or 3Cell or your EHP Dojo or the Emotional Healing Collaboration Group on Telegram (link: https://t.me/+WC5Px7eVEScNugzU) and ask someone to Navigate Space for an EHP for you. This way you use the Doorway that was opened by your Emotional Reactivity, and this is what Emotions are for:
Human beings are the only animals that can change a sensation into an Emotion through attaching a meaningful Story to the sensation.
By experientially mixing 2 Emotions together, you can create such experiences as depression, nostalgia, sentimentality, aggression, despair, isolation, hysteria, schadenfreude ('destruction joy'), and hopelessness. By experientially mixing 3 Emotions together, you can create such experiences as guilt, jealousy, embarrassment, envy, greed, revenge, resentment, blame... and shame.
By experientially mixing 4 Emotions together, you can create such experiences as overwhelm, burnout, collapse, catatonia, and psychological breakdown.
Emotions do not mix themselves. If your Emotions are mixed, it is because you have mixed them together intentionally (although perhaps unconsciously) to serve Hidden Purposes. You get a payoff for Mixing your Emotions. You receive a number of benefits (although the benefits may be in the direction of ways to avoid responsibility).
Shame is a Mixed Emotion, created inside you by mixing together anger, sadness, and fear.
If you ever want to experience Shame, then mix anger, sadness, and fear together as one experience in your heart.
Shame includes anger, for example, anger that there is any kind of social pressure for not doing or being what you want to do or be, anger that you were caught doing something that has been defined as bad, or evil, or forbidden, or 'inappropriate', anger that anyone would care enough to be regulating you about this, anger that you could not protect yourself from being discovered.
Shame includes sadness, for example, sadness that you do not get to be yourself, sadness that you might have to stop your secret pleasures, sadness that there is no room for your authentic self in this world, sadness that a future you once wished to have for yourself is lost.
Shame includes fear, for example, that you might be punished, fear that others may find out about what you did or what you secretly want to do and your reputation or credibility will be lost, fear that what you have been hiding has been discovered and might be taken away from you, fear that you will not be able to stop and could be killed for this.
If you ever DO NOT want to experience Shame, then Unmix your Emotions of anger, sadness, and fear.
Full instructions and demonstrations of Unmixing Emotions are online at https://unmixemotions.mystrikingly.com. After Unmixing your Emotions of anger, sadness, and fear, your Shame will be rather instantaneously gone.
But after Unmixing your Emotions you will still have your Emotions. You will have strong Emotions of Anger, strong Emotions of Sadness, and strong Emotions of Fear. The benefit is that now your Emotions are Unmixed. Now you can use them for what they were designed for. Each of these three Emotions is a precious Doorway to a new or deeper Emotional Healing Process (EHP).

It is possible that your Shame may come from Beliefs about what is good or evil, right or wrong, proper or improper, etc. These Beliefs may not even be your own Beliefs. They may be Beliefs that you took on from the Belief System or the Religion of your parents, for example. You may want to make an internal Distinction or Boundary about which Beliefs you are going to continue carrying around within you from here on out, or, if you will in fact carry any Beliefs at all.
Cleaning out your Beliefs requires Conscious Anger. To activate your own Conscious Anger, full participation in one or more Rage Clubs might be in order, plus 3-3-3 Practice. You might even be ready for Expand The Box training.

Shame is Baggage.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF SHAME?
If your Shame is so intense that you can no longer function in life, that your life fails, then you secretly get Revenge against the person or system that causes you to be a failure. If you kill yourself from Shame, then it is 'their fault' because without them 'pressuring you' with their Beliefs, or enforcing their Rule system on you, you would not have had so much Shame that you decided it was necessary to kill yourself.
Revenge is Gremlin Food, plain and simple.
Dedicating your life to Shame is dedicating your life to Revenge. This means that your Gremlin unconsciously owns and runs your life. You may think that dedicating your life to getting Revenge is conscious, but it is not conscious. If you were truly conscious about what it costs you to sacrifice your life and loved-ones to feeding your Gremlin on Revenge, you could not do it. It would be too painful. To keep the pain subdued, you remain unconscious about what is really going on.
Keeping yourself unconscious about what you are actually up to is the life of a Zombie. You may want to take a look at the Zombies Anonymous Program.

You might feel Shame about being smart, being right, being strong, being first, being adventurous, being brave, being different, being ahead of the crowd, being clear, being happy, being rabidly curious, being healthy, being radiantly beautiful, being able to make boundaries or say what you want, being able to navigate Transformational Spaces or make Transformational Proposals, being able to Cause Adventure, or cause Gaia to celebrate your existence.
You could feel Shame about knowing or not knowing, Shame about seeing or not seeing, Shame about liking something or not liking something, Shame about figuring it out or not figuring it out, Shame about being cool or not being cool, on and on and on.
You could feel Shame about anything. You are creative enough.
You could Mix three Emotions together and cause yourself to feel Shameful about anything just to get the Shadow World benefits of Shame.
You could even go so far as to feel Shame about being you.
Try to imagine the neurotic insanity of that. The pointlessness. The ridiculousness.
Try to imagine why someone would arrange to do that with themselves.
Try to imagine life without doing that to yourself anymore...

I'll give a few examples:
- Secretly watch movies on the computer and quickly close the screen as soon as someone enters the room.

- Sneak to the refrigerator at night and eat secretly. Pay attention to the noises in the house so that no one surprises you.
- Enter rooms secretly, sneak in quietly.
- Steal the cherry from the cake on the coffee table secretly.
- Secretly take the bike and ride it for 10 minutes, even though it doesn't belong to you.
Do at least 3 things secretly every day. Every night, write in your BEEP!Book what feelings and emotions came up. Note if the mixed emotion of shame came up.
Part of the experiment is not telling anyone that you did it or that you are just experimenting with doing things secretly. All week you keep it a secret and experiment secretly just for you.

Sauna is a strange thing. In our culture it is so forbidden, unusual and embarrassing to be naked. The police are called if I get on the subway naked.
But in the sauna it seems to be quite normal to be naked. Even when representatives of the opposite sex are present. In one sauna I visited, there was a sign explicitly forbidding being in the rooms with clothes on.
Go to a mixed sauna. How do you feel when others see your body naked and maybe even look at you?
What do you feel when you see other people there naked? Old, young, fat, thin people, all naked.

Everyone knows it: the first pancake never succeeds. It burns, sticks or tears. You have to eat the first pancake yourself or give it to the dog. If Prince Charles ever comes to visit and wants pancakes, assume that he will never get to see the first one.
The experiment is to present the first pancake. It is what you love and can't do yet. The first pancake is what you are still practicing, what you have yet to learn. It's the first pancake because you're a rank beginner who stumbles and stutters and does it anyway because you want to do it, because you love it, because you're on fire for it.
Examples of your first pancake:
- Write your first article and publish it.
- Get up before dinner and say you're going to recite a poem you wrote yourself.
- Hold a Worktalk. Pick a topic you think is out of your league.
- Write a love letter to the person you secretly adore. Sign with your name.
- Speak immediately if it's important to you, without thinking about whether it's appropriate right now.
- Bake a very complicated cake and invite your boss and his wife to eat it.
- Paint pictures and give them as gifts.
- Sign up for a Zumba class and struggle through the choreography.
Make notes in your BEEP!Book. Shame is a mixed emotion of anger, fear, and sadness. Name all the emotions that come up. Begin by saying, "I feel anger/fear/sadness because..."
